TOS 2000 Tower 170 cm 36″

The TOS 2000 Tower is the flagship of the orchard range: the same 170 cm tower and 36″ angled-intake fan as the 1600 Tower, carrying two thousand litres for estates where refill trips are the hidden cost of every spray round. In mature macadamia at high water rates, the extra four hundred litres is another stretch of rows completed before the trip back.

Tall-tree spraying at estate scale is this machine's brief: horizontal air delivery up the tower, eighteen nozzle positions, angled and curved wide-angle outlets, and the AR 1604's 153 L/min at 50 bar keeping both sides at full rate with the tank agitated. Galvanised chassis and fan housing are standard, as on every TOS.

Built around the work

At the high water rates mature subtropical orchards demand, tank size sets the rhythm of the day. Two thousand litres keeps the machine in the rows longer — with pump-fed agitation holding the mix uniform to the bottom of the tank.

170 cm tower — air delivered at canopy height

Air releases horizontally along the tower through angled, curved outlets, entering the canopy perpendicular to the foliage at every level — top-third deposition that ground-level outlets can't match in tall trees.

Eighteen holders adjacent to every canopy layer; tower sections shut off independently for younger blocks, so one machine covers the estate's mixed plantings.

36″ angled-intake fan, wide-angle outlet

The 93 cm (36″) fan draws air through an angled intake — cleaner airflow, less turbulence, more of the fan's energy arriving as usable air at the tree. Ten adjustable-pitch blades and a two-speed gearbox with neutral let you tune air volume to canopy stage; wide-angle deflectors spread the air band to cover taller rows without a tower.

AR 1604 pump — 153 L/min at 50 bar

The Annovi Reverberi AR 1604 four-diaphragm pump delivers up to 153 litres per minute at 50 bar. That is enough flow to run a full set of nozzles on both sides at orchard pressures and keep the tank agitated — the difference between a suspension that stays mixed and one that settles in row twenty.

Galvanised chassis and fan housing

Chassis and fan housing are hot-dip galvanised, not painted. Spray chemistry, fertiliser dust and washdowns eat paint in a season or two; galvanising is why these machines still look serviceable when they change hands years later.

Questions

TOS 2000 Tower 170 cm 36″ — asked and answered

TOS 1600 Tower or TOS 2000 Tower?

Same tower, same fan, same pump — the choice is tank size against your tractor and terrain. At estate scale and high water rates the 2000 pays for itself in saved refill trips; on steeper ground or with a lighter tractor, the 1600 is the safer match.

What maintenance does a tower sprayer need?

The same as any TOS plus a seasonal check of tower outlets and deflectors. Pump diaphragms, gearbox oil and nozzle wear are the annual items — all parts stocked in Oudtshoorn, and we do pre-season checks by arrangement.

Are spare parts available in South Africa?

Yes. Pump diaphragms and seals, control unit parts, nozzle bodies and tips are stocked at our Oudtshoorn workshop. Email abie@timagri.com or WhatsApp a photo of the part — most items ship same week.

Is the TOS 2000 Tower set up before delivery?

Every TIMAGRI sprayer is commissioned on your farm: nozzles matched to your rows and target rate, pressure verified across all sections, and the operator walked through the controls before the first tank goes out.

Tell us your rows. We'll spec the sprayer.

Crop, row spacing, tractor horsepower — that's all we need to quote the right configuration, usually within one working day.
