TOS 1600 SF 36″ Angled

The TOS 1600 SF 36″ Angled is the workhorse of the orchard range: 1 600 litres and a 93 cm (36″) fan with angled air intake, matched to full-grown citrus, pome and stone fruit — the orchards that make up most of South Africa's export tree fruit.

The angled intake is more than styling. Drawing air at an angle smooths the flow into the fan, so more of the gearbox's power leaves as organised air at the outlet — air that carries spray into a dense canopy rather than swirling at its edge. Wide-angle deflectors then shape that air upward for taller rows. The AR 1604 four-diaphragm pump supplies 153 L/min at up to 50 bar, so both sides spray full rate with agitation to spare.

Why this machine

Built around the work

36″ angled-intake fan, wide-angle outlet — diagram

36″ angled-intake fan, wide-angle outlet

The 93 cm (36″) fan draws air through an angled intake — cleaner airflow, less turbulence, more of the fan's energy arriving as usable air at the tree. Ten adjustable-pitch blades and a two-speed gearbox with neutral let you tune air volume to canopy stage; wide-angle deflectors spread the air band to cover taller rows without a tower.

AR 1604 pump — 153 L/min at 50 bar

The Annovi Reverberi AR 1604 four-diaphragm pump delivers up to 153 litres per minute at 50 bar. That is enough flow to run a full set of nozzles on both sides at orchard pressures and keep the tank agitated — the difference between a suspension that stays mixed and one that settles in row twenty.

AR By Matic 50 constant-pressure control

The AR By Matic 50 control unit holds your set pressure as sections open and close, with a master shut-off within reach. Set it once at the row end and the dose stays put — no creeping pressure as the tank empties.

Galvanised chassis and fan housing

Chassis and fan housing are hot-dip galvanised, not painted. Spray chemistry, fertiliser dust and washdowns eat paint in a season or two; galvanising is why these machines still look serviceable when they change hands years later.

Fourteen nozzle holders ring the outlet with standard hollow-cone tips fitted; Albuz, MagnoJet and TeeJet options let you match droplet spectrum to the programme — finer for cover sprays, coarser where drift matters.

  • Macadamia & avocadoyounger plantings within reach of a 36″ fan without a tower

Options & upgrades

  • Wide-angled drawbar for tight headland turns
  • Albuz, MagnoJet or TeeJet nozzle tips (standard tips included)
  • TIMAGRI Nova spray computer integration with tractor harness
  • GPS mounting plate
  • T-brackets for additional nozzle positions
Questions

TOS 1600 SF 36″ Angled — asked and answered

What does the angled air intake actually do?

It straightens the air path into the fan. A straight-on intake pulls turbulent air that wastes fan energy; the angled intake feeds the blades cleanly, so the same PTO power delivers a stronger, more organised air band at the canopy.

TOS 1600 SF or the Tower model?

The SF with wide-angle deflectors covers most orchards up to typical citrus and pome height. Go Tower when trees are tall and dense enough that air from a ground-level outlet arrives spent at the top third — old-standard citrus, mango, tall avocado and macadamia.

Are spare parts available in South Africa?

Yes. Pump diaphragms and seals, control unit parts, nozzle bodies and tips are stocked at our Oudtshoorn workshop. Email abie@timagri.com or WhatsApp a photo of the part — most items ship same week.

Is the TOS 1600 SF 36″ Angled set up before delivery?

Every TIMAGRI sprayer is commissioned on your farm: nozzles matched to your rows and target rate, pressure verified across all sections, and the operator walked through the controls before the first tank goes out.

Tell us your rows. We'll spec the sprayer.

Crop, row spacing, tractor horsepower — that's all we need to quote the right configuration, usually within one working day.
